Trump Times: Indictment

#MuellerTime and #MuellerMonday tweets abound today as word of the indictment of Manafort and Gates spread through media of all kinds. This is a turning point for the investigation of Russian influence over the 2016 Presidential campaign.

As I think of this news, I am thinking about why President Trump has been the all-time most disappointing President in my lifetime. The bottom line is that President Trump is a rude, disrespectful, and unthoughtful man--his tweets continually inflame, name call, spread mistruths, and exaggerate reality. His contempt for almost anyone that doesn't do as he pleases at the moment he pleases it is childlike and worrisome. His social media interface paints him as an erratic, infantile, non-trustworthy, and rash individual who does not take the job of President of the United States and the law of our land, The United States Constitution, seriously.  He laments "fake news" yet it's his own news, his tweets, that demonstrate poor attitude, worrisome leadership, questionable truths, and troubling decision making the most.

Throughout my life I have never agreed all the time with any President. There have been many Presidents with whom I've disagreed a lot, but never in my life, did I feel a President disregarded our country's laws as well as the spirit, awesome responsibility, and importance of the job to the degree that President Trump does this.

I hope today's indictment is the beginning of the end of this troubling period in American history, a period where our own President has us on edge day to day as he demeans and disrespects our rights, our diversity, and our potential to do what is right and good. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction.

I honor Robert Mueller for acting with a responsible, measured, and serious Presidential attitude throughout the process. So far he has far exceeded my expectations and he has provided for all Americans a leader to look up to and listen to as he does his work well to figure out what happened with regard to Russia's influence over the Presidential election, politics, and our country's well being.
